Omega Seamaster Ref. 14765

Omega is the brand that officially became the timekeeper of the Olympic Games in 1931 and in the 1950s was the largest prize winner in the field of producing and developing chronometer timepieces. A brand that is sometimes underestimated but has a rich history and is a leader in the industry. With us, the brand has a special place in our heart and that can be seen in our collection.

Seamaster was introduced in 1948. They marked the anniversary with the release of a line touted as the ideal watch for customers looking for something robust yet elegant, a model suitable for ‘town, sea, and country’. It’s name—the Seamaster.

The original Seamaster was a relatively simple affair, taking its inspiration from the models Omega had supplied to the British armed forces in the Second World War. Known as W.W.W watches, for ‘watch wristlet waterproof’, they were prized for their sturdy build quality and excellent legibility, two elements that formed the groundwork on which the Seamaster was, and still is, constructed.

So here we have a beautiful example from around 1961. The silver dial has some traces revealing its age, but that is what we like, vintage. The combi with the green lizard makes it different. We chose this color to let you see that you can give the vintage watch your own twist. Our collection watch straps is huge!..;)
