The Explorer is typically a watch you do not notice when you first get into watches. But as you gain a little experience with different brands and models, the Explorer starts to charm its way into your heart. You discover that this is a watch design that approaches perfection scarily closely!
The warmth of this Orange hand is growing if you look longer at the dial. In combination with the orange of the hands, Vanilla tritium makes it a collector item. The dial features the “MKV =Tswiss<25T ”Non serif” with a bezel “MK IV,” confirming the combination is correct. The bezel has some slight wear and tear, as expected from a rugged tool watch. Paired on a slightly newer bracelet from 1994 gives the watch a robust feeling.
A lot of Rolex watches got nicknames by collectors; this Explorer is called “Freccione,” which means Big Arrow.
