A. Lange & Söhne may not be as famous as Patek Philippe or Rolex, but if one thing is certain it’s the fact that A. Lange & Söhne’s craftsmanship and finish is by far superior to many respected Swiss watch brands. It was Ferdinand Lange who started the watch business in Glashütte in 1945 and this meant the beginning of the well-respected German watchmaking region. It was 1871 when Ferdinand’s two sons joined his company and the family company ‘A. Lange & Söhne’ was officially founded. Throughout Lange’s existence, many impressive movements and watches were crafted, this is why the brand is the most beloved and respected manufacturer which is not from Switzerland.
A. Lange & Söhne is known for working a lot with precious metals and crafting all of their own parts with their own classical style. This watch is the ‘Lange 1′, a true icon in the L&S collection. It’s famous for its beautiful double-dial design with applique Roman numerals and the double date window on top. The pink gold case has an elegant and round design with descending lugs making it a perfect fit on the wrist.
The condition of this 2006 piece is truly stunning. The silver dial is a lust to the eye, which gives a nice contrast with the 18k pink gold case.
