Van der Gang Ref. 20020
A fine chronograph from the Netherlands.
Van der Gang has been building premium watches in the Netherlands since 2002. His first models saw the light of day in 2004 and today the brand is even compared with some of the biggest Swiss houses, and with good reason. The quality and finish of Van der Gang watches are superb, approximately only 200 pieces leave the factory every year and if you look at the details you’ll understand why.
The silver dial is absolutely stunning. The proportions of the chronograph registers are perfect and they have a circular grain finish for the right contrast. The blue glossy moon phase is exciting with little stars to enhance the space imagination with it. The date window is positioned very subtly on the very bottom sitting on the minute track. The blued leaf hands may even let you think this even is swiss manufacture.
Van der Gang produces its own watch cases in an 8 step process from a 1.8kg alloy block, and the result is spectacular. The cases sit proudly on top of the wrist but the overall design doesn’t make it flashy.
This was is from 2010 but is like new, and just had a full service at Van der Gang watches in Dokkum
