Rolex Datejust Ref. 16264
the best of two worlds combined
Rolex has some different sports watches which are known all around the world, just like they have some dressy designs like the Datejust which is a watch that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to point out the differences between these two kinds of watches since all Rolex models are purposefully designed. However, as Rolex watches evolve throughout time some interesting pieces have emerged over the years.
This trend started in the 1950s and during that era, the first Datejust ‘Turn-o-graph’ emerged on the market. A dressy Rolex Datejust with a revolving bezel for timed measurements, a dressy watch with a ‘sporty’ function since its design was stolen from the submariner. Combine this with the black dial and you’ll have a real hybrid between a dress watch and a sports watch. The dial-in this piece is more of a sunburst anthracite colour as the organic paint may have softened over time.
The condition of this watch is simply great, this piece is equipped with its original jubilee bracelet and is a pleasure to wear. From a distance, this watch is pretty sporty but its 36mm. diameter doesn’t make it a big presence on the wrist and still a good pick for dressy occasions.
