Rolex Datejust Ref 1600 ‘Japan dial’

Clean and elegant. For when understated is your flavor!

The Rolex Datejust Ref. 1600 with silver dial is pretty much the most simplified and minimalist execution of a Datejust you will find. The smooth bezel clearly sets it apart from its fluted and engine-turned brethren. Combined with the non-contrasting dial, you get a prime example of stealth-wealth.

But you can take the minimalism one step further with a “Japan dial”. The import of radioactive goods was prohibited in Japan around the turn of the 60s into the 70s. Since tritium is mildly radioactive, Rolex needed to fulfill the Japanese market with lumeless watches. This is why you see no lume plots around the indices and why the hands are completely solid, without the familiar dash of lume.

This timeless classic comes on a beautiful nubuck strap, but of course, you can take your pick from our expansive collection.
