WOW! That is the word that came to mind when we saw this Rolex King Midas, fit for any Queen or King. In a condition, you won’t believe, like new old stock.
Attributed to none other than Gerald Genta, this very rare model never reached the masses and that was exactly what Rolex wanted. Creator Gerald Genta drew inspiration for King Midas Rolex from the geometric designs of ancient Greece. The case design is based on the famous Parthenon Temple in Athens. Genta’s work has been referred to as “the Faberge of watches” and King Midas Rolex is undoubtedly one of his masterpieces.
The King Midas was born as an independent model, intended for the most selected élite, able to appreciate what at the time was the heaviest and most expensive gold watch in the world. So do not confuse it with the Cellini King Midas. This piece of jewellery is one of the first 3 series, those were limited. On the inside of the bracelet is a unique number hand ingraved by Rolex. As most of you watch lovers know Rolex normally does not number there watches, now they did. This Queen has number 3055, this number is also engraved on the inside case back.
It is brushed white gold, case and bracelet, also the hands are made of white gold, triple signed case. Unique in the Rolex history, this originally made for left-handed people. But now for everyone who is looking to stand out from the crowd, a real King!
