Patek Philippe Aquanaut Ref. 5065 B+P+SP
It was 1997 when Patek Philippe launched the Aquanaut as a true sports watch to exist alongside the Nautilus range. The Aquanaut is easily recognized by its grenade style dial and Nautlius-ish case. 120 meters water resistance and a sapphire crystal complete the sporty package.
Patek kicked the model off with a limited series of 1.000 pieces in stainless steel (5060A) and yellow gold (5060J). Later that same year, a 38mm jumbo model was added with the ref. 5065. We have on offer a 1999 example of this jumbo model complete with stainless steel bracelet, rubber strap (the first ever Patek rubber strap), original box, papers and service papers. As ‘full set’ as they come!
The black dial is offset nicely by the white hands and combination of block markers and Arabic numerals. The lume has turned a lovely warm shade of off-white.
This is an absolutely amazing watch in an amazingly complete set. Are you its next proud owner?
