The Aquanaut made its debut in 1997 as a 1,000-piece limited edition collection. This comprised the Ref 5060A in stainless steel and Ref 5060J in 18K yellow gold. For a long time, the Aquanaut was considered an entry-level sports watch. A sort of a Nautilus-junior if you will. Some people bought it because they wanted to own a Patek Philippe sports watch.
A Patek on a rubber strap, that was a huge thing for Patek Philippe in those days. The Aquanaut also debuted the Patek “tropical” strap that was resistant to saltwater and UV rays. The black strap featured a square embossed motif, a pattern that continued onto the black dial.
So we are very proud to have the vintage Aquanaut from the year 1998, first-generation. With original box, papers, and the steel bracelet, so full set. The Aquanaut is in mint condition with a new rubber strap and original deployment clasp. We are glad to have such a nice iconic watch in our store!
If you are curious, come to our store, we will tell you some more. Be welcome.
