Omega Speedmaster Ref. 105.012-66 “CB case”

Oh, this is what makes our heart beat a little faster. As good as vintage Speedies get!

Of course, the ultimate Speedmaster is a pre-moon variant. 1967, to be precise. And that implies a 321 caliber, dot-over-ninety (or, if you prefer, diagonal-seventy) applied logo and a lovely flat-link bracelet. And what a bracelet this is. Super-tight, no stretch. Fully prepared to be worn.

But then there is a couple of details which make this particular Speedy even better. Have a look at that mustard lume! Stunning patina! And then there is the case. Not made by Huguenin Freres, who produced most Speedmaster cases, but by Centrale Boites, who only produced these 105.012-66 “CB” cases.
