Omega Constellation “Pie pan” 18k
One of the most beautiful simple dress watches out there.
Although, simple? These Constellations feature a number of intricate details that make it so visually appealing. Let’s walk through them.
For starters, there is the elegant 18k gold case with its slender lugs, wrapping around the wrist. Then there are the dagger (or dauphine) hands sweeping over the egg-shell dial, with its beautiful three-dimensional “pie-pan” shape. The wider indices on 12, 6 and 9 balance out the date window and provide heft to the quarter hours. The indices in between are similar in appearance but just slightly more diminutive. The date window frame is faceted to playfully catch the light.
And finally, there is that beautiful star above 6, confirming what we already knew: this is Omega’s top range, the Constellation!
