Omega Constellation ‘Classic’
The flagship Omega
Introduced in 1952, the Omega Constellation has been around for a very long time. The simplistic but very elegant design has become more and more appealing over time. The pie-pan dial with applied black markers gives this watch a bit more depth, which is very nice on the modest size. A perfect example of less is more.
This watch doesn’t feel small at all, definitely not when considering its actual diameter; 35mm. The original beads of rice bracelet complements the edgy lugs of the Constellation. The stainless steel bracelet also gives the watch a more solid look, making it a very beautiful size.
The silver sunburst dial has a slightly matte finish. This dial contrasts with the mirror-like watch-case, the applied markers, and glossy dagger hands. This all together makes this a very pretty and clean watch. The dial has some very light spots on the paint, which does give this Omega a real vintage feel.
This automatic chronometer is powered by the Omega caliber 561, which was used in the Constellation in the early 1960s. Considering its age, this watch is in really good condition and a great piece to wear 7-days a week.
