A Speedy reference 105.012 is produced for about four years. Some say that it was the first reference with Professional inscription on the dial. Many believed it was added on July 1965, following NASA’s certification of the Speedmaster. But a lot of research (in collaboration with the Omega Museum) made clear that the inscription was from before that date, it appeared on the ref 105.012-63 for the first time.
This Speedmaster is produced about 1967 has the Type 3 dial with the spaced T. Below the marker at the six o’clock is the text ‘T Swiss made T’. The space between the T and Swiss-made is wider than on the type 2 dial, that has a closed T, which is very rare. The bezel is how it should be, DON, dot over ninety diagonal seventy. This is a couple of details of this reference.
Those details are important, we know. But the main thing about this watch is its the appearance, you can see it has a history. Gone places, seen things….!
