Charles Lindbergh was in 1927 de eerste piloot die solo non-stop de Atlantische Oceaan over vloog. Na deze vlucht -zo gaat het verhaal- vroeg hij Longines een horloge te maken waar hij complexe berekeningen mee kon maken; het resultaat was de Hour Angle, tegenwoordig bekend als de Lindbergh.
De Lindbergh valt in de eerste plaats op door het rijke Art Deco ontwerp. Alles is in stijl: de sierlijke wijzers, uitvoerige wijzerplaat, elegante kast en bolle uienkroon. De contrasterende binnenring kan worden verdraaid om zo tot de berekeningen te komen. Deze Lindbergh heeft een stalen kast van ca. 39mm. Het uurwerk is automatisch Longines caliber 989.2 en te zien door het achterdeksel open te klappen (de zogenaamde Hunter stijl). De band is van leer en voorzien van de originele Longines sluiting.
