Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox ‘Soleil’
This is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox as you really want it. Why? Because this is the manually wound version, rather than the hard-to-service bumper automatic. This caliber 911 does justice to the beautiful design of the JLC Memovox.
While it measures only 37mm, this watch wears large. In fact, it feels rather modern, size-wise. So if you love the look of vintage watches, but you are put off by the smaller size, this could be right up your alley.
The dial is beautifully clean and features several subtly different brushing patterns. Both the hands and dial have been relumed at some point, but luckily it is a very tidy job.
Of course, this Memovox has been fully serviced and the alarm function is in great working condition. So yes, you can actually use this watch the way it was intended when it left Jaeger-LeCoultre in 1965.
We have paired it with our beautiful AWCo waxy calfskin strap in concrete/taupe color. This is a real strap monster though. Dress it up with a Croco strap or dress it down with a nice nubuck strap, whatever floats your boat. This JLC Memovox looks amazing on pretty much any strap.
