IWC MK XII Fliegeruhr Lady
IWC’s Mark series is perhaps best known for the Mark XI. This watch was issued to military pilots from 1948 until well into the 1980s. This watch was never actually sold to the general public, but many were traded on the second-hand market later on.
From 1993 until 1999, the XI was succeeded by the Mark XII, of which we have the 28mm ladies variety on offer here. The Mark XII was, in contrast to the XI, sold to the general public. A distinct difference with its predecessor is that this model, logically, does not have any military markings on the case. A second difference is the addition of a date window at three o’clock.
What remains is a watch that oozes adventure. It looks tough because it is tough. So if you are looking for a watch to take on your next adventure, this might be the one!
